Chapter 573 Nobody Can Hurt her
“All right. I shall leave my sister to you!” After all these days of hanging out with Huo Ling, Shi Nuan realized that this girl was pretty childish, aside from when she was treating her patients. Right now was an instant where she behaved like a child.
However, Shi Nuan had to admit it was comfortable being around Huo Ling. The latter would always try her best to keep her patients relaxed when nursing them. Thus, nobody would feel stressed.
Huo Ling was then taken away by Fu Chengyan after her playful act. He brought her to Su Shaoqing’s laboratory to continue the research.
In truth, Huo Ling stayed in the hospital because she couldn’t stop thinking about the antidote. Hence, she treated Su Shaoqing’s laboratory as her home and remained there.

In the meantime, Huo Ling was sitting on her chair, attentively observing the microorganisms under the microscope. On her right-hand side laid the list of the viruses’ compounds that she had calculated recently.
Su Shaoqing and Fu Chengyan were sitting aside, staring at her. The former pouted and said, “Say, if I convinced her to work at my hospital, will she bring me success in the future?”
He then nudged Fu Chengyan’s arm with his elbow, which invited a despised look from the latter. “Do you seriously think that the Huo family will let their genius suffer at your side?” Fu Chengyan retorted.
“Hey, Chengyan! You’re crossing the line! What do you mean by suffering at my side?” Su Shaoqing fumed in displeasure. “I provide good conditions and benefits at my hospital. Besides, there’s even a free medical laboratory for Huo Ling’s research! I’ve investigated, and it appears the Huo family is actually against her studying medicine. Hence, she studies it secretly and can’t work under the name of the Huo family in the future, no matter how capable she is. If that’s the case, working under me is the best choice she can afford. At least, no one dares to offend my men, not even the Huo family!”
Su Shaoqing had been thinking about that for a long time. The more he observed Huo Ling, the more he realized how brilliant this girl was. If it weren’t for her young age, she would likely be famous for her achievements.
Fu Chengyan shook his head when he saw the former’s scheming look. He then landed his gaze on Huo Ling and fell into deep thought. It’s indisputable that Huo Ling’s a gifted person. Nevertheless, her current skills are not enough to solve this virus problem. I hope Huo Shenxing arrives as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, Fu Sijue arrived at Frosa, and only then did he realize his companies had suffered a heavy blow. It was evident that the one behind these attacks wanted to eliminate any chance of his survival. When he was busy resolving the problems in Frosa, he wasn’t aware of what was happening in Jiang City. The underground casino got destroyed when he received the news and rushed back. Those companies that relied on the casino’s income to operate were affected too.
That wasn’t the worst part; When Fu Sijue returned, Shen Qianan was missing, and even Ying was nowhere in sight.
He only found out that Ying had imprisoned Shen Qianan in the Yun residence’s dungeon when he returned to his family home. Even then, he wasn’t sure if Shen Qianan was still alive after suffering from Ying’s torturing.
He had no way to get news about Su Shaoqing’s condition as Su Shaoqing’s hospital had blocked all of Shen Qianan’s information. As for the hospital, it was guarded heavily by Fu Chengyan’s men. No matter how skillful Fu Sijue’s subordinates were, they could not go in by force and rescue Shen Qianan. Moreover, Fu Sijue didn’t dare to act recklessly without knowing Shen Qianan’s precise situation.
Within a well-hidden base in the Western suburbs, a man was hung upside down on a torture tool with his eyes closed, breathing weakly.
Not far away from him sat Fu Sijue on the chair, fiddling with the object in his hands. He shot a cold glare at Ying, the man hanging, and uttered, “Have you realized your mistakes?”
Ying shut his eyes, refusing to utter a response. That outraged Fu Sijue. He shot a look at the man standing behind him – Yun, an assassin he raised together with Ying.
The difference between Yun and Ying was that the latter stayed out in the open while Yun operated in the dark. These two were Fu Sijue’s left and right-hand men.
Hoping to keep a low profile, Fu Sijue had brought Yun with him to Frosa instead of Ying. Little had he expected that leaving Ying behind would be his greatest mistake.
Although Ying was like a brother to Yun, only the latter was loyal to Fu Sijue.
Ying had committed a reprehensible mistake. Yun didn’t think the former had done anything wrong, yet he dared not go against Fu Sijie as Ying did.
Yun raised the whip in his hand. It was full of hooks dripping with brine water. A blow from that would undoubtedly be too much for anyone to bear, including them, who had superior physiques.
“Ying, just admit your mistake!” Yun persuaded.
Ying opened his eyes and uttered, “Mr. J, I did it for your sake. I’m not in the wrong!”
“Strike him!” Fu Sijue’s gaze sharpened. He emitted a menacing aura that resembled hell’s merciless and fiery ambiance. Then, he glared daggers at Ying while barking, “I’ve said it before. No one’s can harm her. No one!”
Upon hearing those orders, Yun landed his whip forcefully on Ying. The latter’s body instantly turned into a bloody mess. Painful cries soon reverberated in the air.
“Ying, apologize to Mr. J! You’re at fault. That woman is Mr. J’s lover, so you shouldn’t have done what you did!” said Yun, hoping that Ying could admit his mistakes. However, the latter would rather endure the sufferings than admit his fault. “Mr. J, I didn’t do the wrong thing. That woman is a jinx! Not only was she the reason you got injured heavily four years ago, but she also ruined your revenge plan today! Mr. J, don’t you understand? She’s a hex. Do you know what happened when you weren’t around? Our underground casino, the few companies in Jiang City, even Yun Group-”
“That’s enough! Those have nothing to do with her,” Fu Sijue snapped, his fist curled tightly. He then approached Ying and clutched the latter’s neck. “If Yun Shen didn’t arrive on time that day, she would get tortured to death in your hands, wouldn’t she? How dare you, Ying!”
He gritted his teeth while processing the enraged thoughts in his mind.
I dare not imagine what would happen if Yun Shen didn’t show up that day. Would Ying beat Shen Qianan to death then? No. I refuse to accept the thought of that!
Fu Sijue tightened his grasp. The force he exerted on Ying’s neck was enough to kill the latter. A cold look flashed on his face as he thundered, “How do you know about Yun residence’s dungeon? Spit it out!”
Hanging upside down, it was the first time Ying sensed such a sinister and terrifying aura coming from Fu Sijue. He had never seen such a side of the latter before. Thus, his lips parted to speak. “Mr. J-”
“It seems like you have a death wish.” Fu Sijue interrupted, swinging his hand and breaking one of Ying’s limbs. “Who told you there was a dungeon in the Yun residence? Was it my father? Or-”
“No! It has nothing to do with my formal master!” Ying explained hurriedly.
“Ha! It’s apparent that you don’t take me as your master at all. So my father’s the only one you’ll obey, huh?” Fu Sijue fixed his cold look on Ying before pinching the latter’s jaw and thundering, “What benefits do you gain from him? What’s the reason behind your loyalty toward my father despite him being dead for so many years?”
“No, Mr. J. You’re my master! Your father gave me my life, and he wanted me to follow you forever. Hence, I’ll fulfil your every order without a doubt!”
“If so, why didn’t you listen when I told you not to hurt her?” A trace of murderous intent flashed through Fu Sijue’s eyes. “Why?”
“Because I know this woman will only ruin your life. You won’t understand it now, Mr. J. But in the future, you’ll see that I did all that for your sake,” Ying uttered through gritted teeth as he endured the pain. “Mr. J, please wake up! This woman will only get in your way. I won’t say a thing if you want to take my life now. However, I hope that your achievements and goals won’t stalled by this woman anymore!”
“You have no right to interfere with my matters.” Fu Sijue shoved him off; his cold gaze remained on Ying. “Since you’ve served me for so many years, I’ll show you mercy by leaving your corpse intact.”
“Mr. J!” Yun stared at Fu Sijue in disbelief. “Please spare his life as he has been your loyal servant for all these years!”
Yet, his pleadings only invited a grim look from Fu Sijue. The latter seethed, “Do you think I won’t kill you? Don’t think I’m not aware of what’s going on in your mind. Let me warn you. Shen Qianan’s life matters more than mine. I’ll make those who dare to hurt her suffer! Anyone who does so will die an awful death!”
Then, Fu Sijue took out a miniature silenced gun and aimed it at Ying’s head. He pulled the trigger without any hesitation.
“Mr. J!” Yun exclaimed before his vision settled on a now lifeless Ying.
Fu Sijue retracted his gun and wiped his hands clean with a napkin. Shortly after, he put on his usual look of indifference and ordered, “Clean up the mess. Yun, keep in mind not to go against my orders. Know that anyone who has the guts to challenge me will bear tragic consequences!”
“Yes, Mr. J!” Yun watched Fu Sijue leave. When he averted his gaze to Ying, who had stopped breathing, his fist tightened but released quickly.
After leaving the place, Fu Sijue returned to his mansion and had a shower to wash off the blood stench on his body. He then drove to the entrance of Su Shaoqing’s hospital.
It was pretty deserted around. However, as a person born with sharp senses, Fu Sijue immediately noticed the place had gotten surrounded by Fu Chengyan’s men.
A gloomy look flashed across his eyes. He tightened his grasp on the steering wheel while his eyes focused on the hospital’s entrance.
It appears Fu Chengyan has a good grasp of my power and situation after our recent encounters. He’s indeed a remarkable opponent, huh? This hospital is so well-guarded that it won’t be easy getting in, let alone finding out how Shen Qianan’s is right now.
