Chapter 570 Rescued In A Critical Stage
With those words, Yun Shen turned and left. Everyone exchanged glances, while Jiang Jingyun’s expression had darkened considerably. She was no doubt displeased after being embarrassed by a youngster. However, every time she thought of Shen Qianan and the wounds all over the latter’s body, her gaze turned cold. “Butler, go take a look at the artificial hill in the backyard. Find out what Shen was talking about!”
“This…” The butler looked at Jiang Jingyun hesitantly. However, the latter was not that easy to fool. The butler had no choice but to do as she said and headed to the backyard with two others.
Jiang Jingyun had wanted to follow them. However, it was simply too dark inside. Hence, she and the rest of the Yun family waited outside. Soon after, two servants appeared while carrying a passed-out Ying.
Jiang Jingyun stepped back in fright when she saw the tendons in his arms had been sliced.
“Isn’t this Jing’s servant? Jing went overseas. Why didn’t he go with him?” Yun Hao looked at the passed-out Ying suspiciously. His expression darkened when he thought about what Yun Shen said earlier. “Mom, Ying did many bad things while Jing was away. Shen Qianan has ties with the Shen family and the Su family.”
Jiang Jingyun remained silent. Her gaze kept getting drawn to Ying’s body as a series of complicated emotions raged inside her. “Stop fussing. Shen Qianan is not dead yet. Tie Ying up first and call Jing. Tell him to come back immediately!”
With those words, Jiang Jingyun pretended to be tired and retired to her room.
However, Shen Qianan’s face kept surfacing in her mind. It was terrifying and completely different from the young woman she had met four years ago.
Yun Shen let out a sigh.
He placed Shen Qianan into the car and immediately gave Fu Chengyan a call. “I’ve found her. However, you all need to be mentally prepared.”
With those words, Yun Shen threw aside his earpiece and glanced at the dying woman in the back seat. “Shen Qianan, don’t let me down for saving you.”
Fu Chengyan’s face was dark when he hung up. From Yun Shen’s tone, he could tell that Shen Qianan was injured and that it was not a minor injury.
There was a dark look in Fu Chengyan’s eyes. He had never regretted his actions. However, in his thirty-plus years of life, there were two things that he regretted.
The first was leaving Jiang City when Shi Nuan needed him most. The second was sending Shen Qianan to Fu Sijue alone.
Fu Chengyan clenched his fists and gave Li Heng a call. “Is Huo Ling there? Bring her over right now!” Then, he went searching for Su Shaoqing. “Prepare the operating room immediately.”
“What’s wrong?”
It was rare to see Fu Chengyan so serious and quiet. “Did something happen? Is it Nuan?”
“It’s Shen Qianan.”
Su Shaoqing frowned. “They found her?”
Seeing Fu Chengyan’s expression, Su Shaoqing knew that the situation was not good. “I’ll make arrangements right away!”
Twenty minutes later, Yun Shen entered with a barely breathing Shen Qianan in his arms. Su Shaoqing gasped and stretched out his hand to place it at Shen Qianan’s nose. He could feel her shallow breathing. Su Shaoqing’s pupils constricted as his hands clenched into fists. “What exactly happened?” He was a doctor and had long gotten used to unexpected and life-and-death situations. However, when faced with Shen Qianan’s battered body, he could not control his anger.
“Stop talking and save her first!” Huo Ling had arrived at the hospital with Li Heng by her side. Her face darkened when she saw Shen Qianan’s state. “The virus is acting up. It’s already reaching the advanced stage!”
Huo Ling’s expression darkened even further as she checked Shen Qianan’s condition. “She suffered strong blows to her chest and abdomen and was probably in a dark and humid place for a long time. Judging from her high fever, her lungs are most likely infected. She needs to have surgery immediately!”
Huo Ling’s voice held an unprecedented seriousness. She was only a teen, but at that moment, her calmness made her seem like a mature adult.
“All right. To the operating room!”
Huo Ling and Su Shaoqing changed into their surgical gowns and entered the operating room one after another.
Outside the operating room, Yun Shen was covered in blood, but he did not seem to care about it. His eyes were glued to the door of the operating room.
Fu Chengyan was very anxious. He did not feel any romantic love for Shen Qianan. However, the latter was Shi Nuan’s sister now, so she was also his sister. The reason why Shen Qianan was in this state was because of him.

Fu Chengyan frowned. “At the Yun residence?”
“Yes. There’s an artificial hill in the backyard of the Yun residence. There was a hidden prison cell in that hill. I never knew that such a place existed. It’s no wonder that Li Heng could not find her even after combing through the entire Jiang City. Who would have expected that she was at the Yun residence? Yun Shen shook his head. “I don’t know.”

Yun Shen frowned as he played with the cigarette in his hands. After a pause, he replied, “No, I don’t. We’re strangers.”
Fu Chengyan raised his eyebrows but did not continue pushing the matter.
Inside the operating room, Su Shaoqing was the lead surgeon for Shen Qianan. Huo Ling’s diagnosis was correct. Shen Qianan’s chest and abdomen had suffered significant physical trauma. The other party was undoubtedly a trained fighter. Otherwise, Shen Qianan would not have been so severely injured. In addition, because she had been trapped there for such a long time, she was suffering from a high fever and an infection. There was not an inch of skin on Shen Qianan’s body that was unharmed.
Su Shaoqing believed himself to be unfeeling. However, when he saw Shen Qianan, he could not help but be taken aback.
Seeing Su Shaoqing’s expression, Huo Ling quickly pushed him aside. “Move aside. Let me do it!”
Huo Ling’s medical skills were not as good as Huo Shenxing’s, but she was still a member of the Huo family. It was just that she had not performed many large-scale surgeries.
Five hours later, the light above the door of the operating room finally dimmed, and Su Shaoqing and Huo Ling stepped out.
It had obviously been a difficult surgery. Both their faces were lined with exhaustion.
Fu Chengyan and Yun Shen immediately got up when they saw them. “How was it?”
“She’s safe for now. However, I gave her anesthesia. She won’t be awake anytime soon.” Su Shaoqing took off his mask. His face was beaded with sweat.
A nurse immediately rushed over with tissues. “Director, Ms. Huo.”
Huo Ling was also exhausted. “I dealt with some of her internal injuries and some external ones for now. I also gave her a sedative, so she shouldn’t relapse too quickly.”
Pausing, she continued, “However, those scratches on her face and body likely won’t heal for a while. They may even leave behind scars.” Huo Ling sighed and expressed her regret. “It was too late by the time she got here. Her lungs have a minor infection, and there are wounds on her head. I’ll have to do a CT scan. If the scan is clear, then it’ll be the best.”
Huo Ling rambled on and finally realized that Su Shaoqing and Yun Shen were staring at her in surprise. She touched her face, asking, “Why are you looking at me like that? I know that I’m pretty, but you shouldn’t look at me like that. I’ll get shy!”

“One day later. She’s severely injured, so letting her rest more is good,” Huo Ling replied, then paused hesitantly. After that, she started stammering. She was frowning so hard that her eyebrows seemed to be knotted together.
“Well, I have something else to say, Mr. Handsome.”
“Speak.” Fu Chengyan was very concise.
Huo Ling sighed. “Well, it’s like this. Although my medical skills are decent, and I’m confident in treating your wife and my goddess, I can’t say the same for this lady. Her illness has already relapsed several times and is reaching the final stage. I may be able to extend her life, but I’m not sure how long she will live.”
