Chapter 566 Shen Qianan Is Missing Again
Yun Shen raised his brows and nodded as he fixed his gaze on Shi Nuan. At the same time, she saw him and gave a slight nod. “It’s been a while, Master Yun!” Yun Shen narrowed his eyes. His long lashes fluttered which made him look a little wicked. “Yeah. It’s been a long time.”
Upon noticing the tense atmosphere around him, he raised his eyebrows and looked at Fu Chengyan from the corner of his eyes. He snorted, “Hey, Fu Chengyan. You’re the one who invited me, right? I’ll get scared if you look at me like this.” Fu Chengyan chuckled coldly. “Master Yun, can we talk in private?”
With that, the two of them went to the ward next to Shi Nuan’s. Yun Shen only realized that it had been transformed into a personal office after he walked in. To be precise, it looked more like a surveillance room.
The moment he stepped into the hospital earlier, he noticed that the atmosphere around the place wasn’t right, and there weren’t many patients in the hospital. Although it appeared to be silent, Fu Chengyan’s hidden guards were everywhere. Basically, not many could get into the hospital easily if they weren’t good enough.
As Yun Shen looked around for a place to sit, he narrowed his eyes and smiled cynically at Fu Chengyan. Meanwhile, Fu Chengyan was sizing Yun Shen up as well. Both of them were staring at one another, and after some time, Yun Shen snickered. “Mr. Fu, if you keep looking at me like this, others may think that you’re in love with me!”
Fu Chengyan frowned slightly, but his mouth twitched. Yun Shen noticed that and rolled his eyes. “Tell me. Why did you invite me here?”
“Master Yun, why did you go to that place?”
That place?
Yun Shen raised his brows and let out a light laugh. “Where exactly do you mean, Mr. Fu?”
“What’s your relationship with Fu Sijue?” Fu Chengyan asked, getting straight to the point. At the same time, he was tapping on the desk with his long fingers as he fixed his gaze on Yun Shen.
Fu Sijue? It was the second time that Yun Shen had heard that name.
“I have no idea who Fu Sijue is, but I’m sure you know who owns that territory!”
Fu Chengyan frowned upon hearing that.
Yun Shen said, “Yun Jing owns that place. Although the mansion isn’t listed under his name, I’m sure the place belongs to him.”
“Besides, as for why I was there, if I told you that I was just passing by at that time, I think that you wouldn’t believe me,” he continued as he stroked his chin, looking bored.
Fu Chengyan stayed silent for a while. “All right. I get it now. Why don’t we make a deal, Master Yun?”
Yun Shen frowned at that. “Mr. Fu, I’m a nobody in the Yun family, and I don’t have anything that I want. So…”
Fu Chengyan looked at Yun Shen with an unfazed expression. “Is that so? Master Yun, you don’t have to be so hasty to turn me down,” he said as he placed a call. After some time, Zhou Zheng knocked and walked into the room. “Mr. Fu!”
Fu Chengyan lifted his chin slightly, and Zhou Zheng understood immediately. The next moment, the latter passed the item in his hand to Yun Shen. “Mr. Yun.”
Yun Shen was dubious, but he took it from Zhou Zheng and looked inside. However, he closed it up immediately and stared at Fu Chengyan.
“Mr. Fu, you wish to destroy the Yun family? I’m a Yun too, you know? Are you sure you want to work with me?” he asked and became lackadaisical again.
Fu Chengyan stayed silent as he stared at Yun Shen with his unreadable eyes.
After some time, Yun Shen chuckled as he stroked his chin. “I understand why he’s always so wary of you and keep you in check all these years. Fu Chengyan, you’re really a worthy opponent. Should I be glad that I’m not your enemy, otherwise I would’ve fallen into your schemes too, hm?”
Fu Chengyan stood up and put his hands in his pockets. “I’ll wait for your good news.”
Yun Shen got up too. “Fu Chengyan! How are you so sure that I’ll work with you? What if I don’t?”
“You will.” Fu Chengyan looked straight into Yun Shen’s eyes with determination as both of them stared at one another.
Finally, Yun Shen shrugged. “Fine. You found out who he is a long time ago, didn’t you?” he asked, curious about what Fu Chengyan was up to.
Fu Chengyan’s dark, brooding eyes glinted. “Not long ago.”
If he hadn’t noticed, he might not have known what Fu Sijue was up to. Fu Chengyan only looked into Fu Sijue after he knew the latter’s identity.
There was indeed no such person in the Fu clan. However, Fu Chengyan only noticed Yun Jing after a lot of complicated relations, and he finally linked Jiang Jingyun to Fu Sijue.
If one were to mention an old incident in the Fu clan, it would be the death of Fu Zhengyu, Fu Zhengyun’s elder brother.
Fu Chengyan went to ask Fu Zhengyun about that incident without leaving any details behind, but since it happened a long time ago, Fu Zhengyun could only tell Fu Chengyan a rough story of what happened.
According to what Fu Zhengyun said, the two brothers had a secret rivalry because both of them wanted to become the head of the clan. It was just that both of them agreed to compete fairly to decide on the head of the family based on ability.

At the most crucial moment, Fu Zhengyu pushed Jiang Jingyun, the daughter-in-law of the Fu clan, out of the car.
Later, the car exploded and rolled off a cliff. Both Fu Zhengyu and the driver died right then.
After that incident, Jiang Jingyun would cause a scene in the Fu residence every day to the extent that her relationship with the Fu clan was about to break apart. After that, Jiang Jingyun married the Yun family after Yun Ming came to propose to her. The Yun family and Fu clan did not contact one another for a long time until Jiang Jingyun brought a child back a year later. It was only then that her relationship with the Fu clan became better eventually.
Fu Zhengyun told everything to Fu Chengyan. “Back then, Jiang Jingyun hated the Fu clan to the bone, but she suddenly became another person after a year and even kept in touch with our family. Then, my father made her his goddaughter, and our families stayed in touch ever since.”
It appeared that she had a hemorrhage when she was giving birth to her first child, who was a premature baby. He turned out to be Yun Jing’s biological father, Yun Min, who had a weak body since he was little and only managed to grow up healthily after many years of good nutrition.
Yun Min was someone who didn’t achieve anything in the Yun family but lived a life of luxury, having everything the family could give him. He passed away a few years ago, and Jiang Jingyun became mad with terrible mood swings after his death.
Fu Chengyan couldn’t help but recall the time when he celebrated her birthday. Jiang Jingyun gave her bracelet to Shi Nuan; it was something that he didn’t expect.
“Actually, I don’t know who he is. This is purely a speculation,” Yun Shen explained as he sat down. “His actions have been really suspiciously lately. It’s not how he usually does things. Besides, my men noticed that he has been showing up a lot at the mansion lately. Since I was bored, I looked into it. Who knew I would find out about such a big secret?”
After a brief pause, he continued, “I’m not interested in what’s going on internally with the Fu clan, but I’m pretty interested in the thing that you gave me.”
Fu Chengyan’s lips curved into a smile. “I look forward to working with you.”
Yun Shen raised his brows, glancing at the item Fu Chengyan had given him. “I’m fine as long as you’re not asking me to fight or kill anyone, but how did you know?”
“If one had the intention to look into something, it wouldn’t be hard to find out. Besides, I can’t help but feel that there’s something else about you, Master Yun.”
Once again, Yun Shen arched his brow and said, “Mr. Fu, you’re not good at complimenting others, after all. It’s late now. If you need anything, you can ask Mr. Zhou to look for me.”
As soon as his words fell, Yun Shen turned and left, leaving Fu Chengyan sitting on the chair, not saying a single word.
“Mr. Fu, are you sure that Yun Shen can be trusted?” Zhou Zheng still felt that Yun Shen couldn’t be trusted since the latter was a part of the Yun family. How is it possible that Yun Shen would agree to this deal?
Fu Chengyan’s expression darkened. “I’m not the one who’s after the Yun family, so why won’t he work with me?” He raised an eyebrow and looked at Zhou Zheng before asking, “Besides, how are things over there?”
“It’s chaotic in Frosa. I just got the news that the company there was deeply affected, so Fu Sijue will be leaving Jiang City very soon.”
A grin spread across Fu Chengyan’s stunning countenance as he uttered in delight, “Wonderful!”
“Mr. Fu, what about Ms. Shen?” Although Fu Chengyan’s people had been watching Fu Sijue and his people closely, Shen Qianan was still in Fu Sijue’s hands. Because of that, Zhou Zheng didn’t know how she was doing. “Our men can’t get close to that mansion, so-”
Before Zhou Zheng could finish, his phone rang. Suddenly, his face changed as he lifted his head to look at Fu Chengyan. “Mr. Fu, Ms. Shen is missing.”
Fu Chengyan furrowed his brows. “What did you say?”
“Ms. Shen is missing! It just happened!” Zhou Zheng reported everything he knew to Fu Chengyan. “Our men have been watching the mansion all this while. After Hui brought Master Yun here, it was true that Fu Sijue had stayed in his mansion for some time. After that, our men saw him leave in the direction of the airport. As for Ms. Shen… The entire mansion was empty. Nothing and no one was left behind!”
Upon hearing that, Fu Chengyan rose from his seat. “Didn’t I ask you to watch her closely?”
