Shi Nuan did not know how long she had stayed in the room, but the door only opened when the sky had turned dark. The person who was outside the door was still that same old woman. She looked at Shi Nuan and said, “Dinner is ready!”
Shi Nuan was quite shocked, but at that moment, she could not show any normal emotions. Hence, she stared at the old woman, but the latter did not care about her and turned around to walk away.
Shi Nuan immediately followed behind. She would rather go out and find out about the other party than stay in the room. Apart from that, she also needed to know where she was.

She frowned as the old lady brought her to the dining table. A man in black was sitting on the main seat with a newspaper in his hand. He seemed to be reading the newspaper. Shi Nuan walked closer. She could see that the man was wearing a silver mask on his face, but that was all she could see.
“Who are you? Why did you kidnap me here?” Shi Nuan asked as she walked nearer to the man.
Just when she was about to reach her hand and pull the man’s mask off, the latter quickly stood up and dodged it. His reaction was so fast that Shi Nuan could not even react.
“Kidnap you here?” J laughed all of a sudden. His voice seemed to be processed as Shi Nuan could not recognize his original voice. She felt a sense of oppression as J looked down at her.
“Didn’t you?” Shi Nuan asked.
“Mrs. Fu, how could you say that I kidnapped you here? I have provided you with delicious food and drinks.” J paused as he scanned Shi Nuan’s face. Interested, his smile remained as he observed her. “You should say that I invited you over as a guest instead.”
“Be your guest?” Haha, yeah, right.
Shi Nuan stared at J angrily. “I don’t know you, and this is also not how you should treat your guest.” She gritted her teeth as she looked at the man and added, “I don’t know what you want, but I’m telling you, my husband will come and rescue me when he knows I was kidnapped!”
J laughed as he heard Shi Nuan’s reply. “Mrs. Fu, please have a seat. Standing is not good for a pregnant woman, isn’t it?”
Shi Nuan clenched her fists tightly. Her words seemed useless against the man. It was as if she was beating the air.
J was not moved by her words at all. Thus, Shi Nuan gritted her teeth and sat down unwillingly before asking again, “Who are you?”
“Is that important to you?” J replied as he sat down elegantly. He was holding on to his cutleries. Under the silver mask, he was wearing a faint smile. “Mrs. Fu, you are pregnant. Don’t you want to eat first before talking to me?”
Shi Nuan looked at him. She had no choice but to pick up her cutleries and began digging in.
J’s smile widened as he saw the look on Shi Nuan’s face. “I like to communicate with smart people like you. Unlike your sister, you are a lot smarter.”
“My sister? Are you talking about Shi Wei?” Shi Nuan asked as she could not think of anyone else.
The last person she saw before she got kidnapped was Shi Wei. “Did you instruct Shi Wei to kidnap me?” she asked again.
J smiled faintly. “What do you think?”
Shi Nuan gripped her cutleries and sliced the meat in front of her forcefully, pretending it was J’s face. It was as if that was the only way for her to release her anger.
“Tsk, tsk. Mrs. Fu, you just can’t stay calm, huh?”

From the moment Shi Nuan came down the stairs, the man had been addressing her as “Mrs. Fu” instead of “Ms. Shi” or “Ms. Su.” It seemed as though the man was targeting the Fu clan.
So Shi Wei was his pawn? Did he use Shi Wei to achieve his goal?
But, he could have instructed his subordinate to do so. Why did he use Shi Wei instead? Shi Nuan could not figure it out.
J’s subordinate could have taken care of her quickly. There was no need to involve Shi Wei. There was only one logical explanation she could think of. ”You wanted Shi Wei to help you achieve a certain goal?” Shi Nuan asked.
J furrowed his eyebrows and remained silent.
Shi Nuan grabbed her cutleries tightly and continued to ask, “I’ve seen Huancheng’s account details. There have been problems with the transactions since two years ago. These trivial problems were unnoticeable, but last year, some larger issues began to emerge. After that, the incident with my grandfather happened. Are you the reason why Shi Wei went to the hospital to infuriate my grandfather? Did everything happen because of you? Were you the person she met in that dark corner?”
For some reason, Shi Nuan connected all the dots, and her instinct told her that the man in front of her was the culprit behind all these. “Why do you want to go against Huancheng and the Shi family?” she continued asking.
“My grandfather did not do anything to you! And Shi Wei, she may hate me, but…” Shi Nuan paused for a moment and asked, “Were you the one who spread Shi Wei’s scandals on the internet?” She recalled Fu Chengyan denying spreading the scandal.
Fu Chengyan was always a man of his words. If he said he did not do it, that meant he did not do it.

J grinned as he maintained his smile. “I finally understand why Fu Chengyan fell for you.”
For some reason, Shi Nuan could hear a hint of hatred in the man’s tone when he mentioned Fu Chengyan’s name.
Shi Nuan gritted her teeth and asked, “But why did you use Shi Wei against me? You could just send your subordinate to deal with me. Or should I ask, what grudge do you have with the Fu clan?”
Shi Nuan stood up and slammed the table with both hands. “You must be targeting the Fu clan, right? You’ve been addressing me as ‘Mrs. Fu’ from the beginning.”
J narrowed his eyes. He was a little surprised. “Well, take a guess,” he replied.

Why did he bring me here? What are his motives?
Shi Nuan could not figure it out.
“Let’s eat. Otherwise, the food will turn cold,” the man said.
The man stood up, pressing his slender fingers against the table as he looked at Shi Nuan. “Take your time to think. You have plenty of time!”
“Stop right there!” Shi Nuan had no mood at all to eat. She was frightened whenever she thought that Shi Yunsheng, Su Su, Shi Wei or the people in the Shi family were all part of the man’s plan. This man is crafty. He has planned everything thoroughly.
Even though she had asked so many questions, she still did not actually get any useful information at all. The only thing she could confirm was that the man had grudges with the Fu clan.
Hearing that, J replied with his back facing Shi Nuan, “Mrs. Fu, calm down. You are pregnant, so you shouldn’t get agitated. I never wanted to hurt you in the first place.”
Shi Nuan clenched her fist and asked, “Who are you? What do you want?”
“You will find out soon,” he replied.
After J left the mansion, Shi Nuan tried to escape after she finished eating. However, she realized it was impossible to leave the mansion.
There were people patrolling outside the mansion, not to mention the several men in black who suddenly appeared inside the mansion. They were all well trained. She could not see their faces as they were all wearing a mask.
Shi Nuan clenched her fist and stared at the men angrily. She then went back to her room upstairs to think of a plan.
Inside the laboratory, Su Shaoqing finally analyzed the drug inside the syringe. He immediately called Fu Chengyan. “Chengyan, the results are out. It is indeed the virus that was found on Bao!”
Fu Chengyan’s expression darkened. He held his phone tightly and then glanced at Pei Jingxiu and asked, “How long before we can track her?”
“Found it! It’s in…” Pei Jingxiu widened his eyes as he stared at the screen. “Sheen City!”

Fu Chengyan frowned. “Let’s go to Sheen City immediately!”
“Wait, Chengyan.” Pei Jingxiu stopped Fu Chengyan. “Don’t make things worse. The person hasn’t harmed Shi Nuan yet, so I don’t think they would do anything to her. About the thing I mentioned just now, do you have any clues?”

A menacing gaze flashed across Pei Jingxiu’s eyes. “It seems like they are really coming after you.” Upon finishing his sentence, Pei Jingxiu immediately shut down the anti-tracker and continued, “Chengyan, who exactly did you cross?”
Fu Chengyan pursed his lips and said nothing. Pei Jingxiu patted his shoulder. “Let me handle things here. You should go to Sheen City.”
Fu Chengyan nodded. As he was about to leave, Pei Jingxiu stopped him and shouted, “Bring Shaoqing with you!”
Fu Chengyan and Su Shaoqing brought along some men and rushed to Sheen City. Since Sheen City was not Fu Chengyan’s territory, Su Shaoqing immediately contacted Su Bancheng.
