The crowd only realized something was amiss after the spirit ship came to a halt. When they looked down into the Night Sea, they saw the dozens of huge turtles controlling the spirit ship. “Divine turtles! These are divine turtles!”
“I heard that taming a divine turtle will allow the person to traverse the Night Sea freely!”
“Why did so many divine turtles show up all of a sudden? It looks like they’re trying to stop the spirit ship from going forward!”
The crowd murmured among themselves. When Jared saw the gigantic creatures, he thought they were merely ordinary turtles. I get that these turtles are huge, but why are these people calling them divine turtles?
Right then, Zordey uttered, “These huge turtles are divine beasts and are way more valuable than mere demon beasts. These divine beasts all have spiritual wisdom and are extremely docile. It would be amazing if you could tame one. Although they can be obedient, it’s very hard to tame them because they’re egotistical. They aren’t willing to submit to humans, and some would even die rather than get tamed.”
Upon hearing Zordey’s explanation, Jared finally understood why those turtles were regarded as divine turtles.
“Did Cosmic Sect tame some of these divine turtles? Is that why they can traverse the Night Sea freely? Cloud furrowed his brows.
Prior to that, Cloud’s disciple had told him that the members of Cosmic Sect were riding on spirit turtles as they traversed the Night Sea. Hence, he couldn’t help thinking those were the same creatures as the divine turtles before his eyes.
“That’s right! I’ve also heard about something similar. No one knows how Cosmic Sect managed to get their hands on some divine. turtles, but they used them to traverse the Night Sea and ambush Stellaris Sect’s airship. When they did that, the spirit ship started to shine with a bright gold light. Evidently, they were trying to resist the divine turtles. Although the divine turtles weren’t attacking the spirit ship, the crew couldn’t let the divine turtles change the course of the spirit ship.
After all, the Night Sea was a perilous place. They wouldn’t know what to expect if they were to sail toward uncharted territory.
Despite the golden rays of light shining brightly the crew still couldn’t stop the divine turtles from moving the spirit ship forward.
Seeing that, one of the people in an eight trigrams robe declared, “Everyone, these divine turtles have appeared out of nowhere, but this is actually a golden opportunity for everyone. Whoever wants to tame a divine turtle should give it a try now. If you can tame one, you’ll be able to traverse the Night Sea freely. Besides, these divine turtles live in the Night Sea all year round, so they’ll surely know where the treasures are. Isn’t this a rare opportunity? Don’t you all want to give it a try?”
