Joshua took a sip of his tea and smirked. “Well, you can think of it as a way for me to kill Rosalyn once and for all so that she’ll never wake up again.”
Luna bit her lip and stared at him, but just as she was about to say something, Caleb let out a sigh. “Don’t listen to him, Luna.
“The reason he came to me was that he had already sought out Dr. Liddell six months ago and had even waited outside her research facility for a week to no avail. Dr. Liddell is an interesting character, and paid no notice to him or any of his conditions.
“Last night, Mr. Lynch saved my life, and so he came to me today, hoping that I can help him.”

The reason she was shocked was that firstly, it turned out Joshua had sought out Dr. Liddell as early as six months
ago, and that, secondIy, Dr. Liddell had ignored him even after a week of his pleading for her help.

Joshua fell silent. Theo.
An artist like Theo, who emanated an aura of humility and gentleness, seemed like someone who could persuade Dr. Rachel Liddell into helping him.
“Since Dr. Liddell is at your house right now…” Caleb furrowed his brows. “Then why did you come here to ask me when I’m going back to Lincoln City?”
“Dr. Liddell said that she needed to bring my mother to Lincoln City to her research facility, or she’ll refuse to treat her.”
“So…” Joshua narrowed his eyes. “Are you thinking of letting Caleb bring your mother back with him?”
