“Everyone needs to suffer a little first.”
Jake nodded and said, “I understand.”
The second Jake left, Dean came over. Dean had a smile on his face, still looking very kind and easy to talk to.
“Mr. Laine, it’s almost dawn now, I really can’t hold on any longer, so I will go back and rest first.” Dean said politely.
Jasper nodded and said, “ I will arrange for someone to take you back.”
“That’s not necessary.”
Dean waved his hand and said, “Everyone is very busy, so I won’t trouble anyone. Anyway, we aren’t very far from the hotel. It’s fine for me to go back by myself.”
Jasper smiled and said, “Okay, come back after you’re well rested.”
“Of course, it’s my honor to be able to participate in such an amazing event.”
Dean politely nodded to Jasper and Henry before he turned around to leave.
Jasper frowned slightly as he looked at Dean’s back.
“Henry…”
Jasper called out suddenly.
“What’s wrong?”
Henry, who was a little confused due to his tiredness, snapped back to his senses after a while and asked.
“Do you have a feeling that Dean is more elusive than Lord Alvarado and the little prince combined when it comes to the level of trouble and trickiness?” Jasper said.
Henry snorted and said, “Are you stupid? I can kill that thing with just a slap, yet you’re comparing him to those two bastards?”
“You can’t say that.” Jasper shook his head.
“The little prince and Lord Alvarado are powerful, but their intentions are clear. They will not do anything explicitly wrong because the cost of mistakes is too high. Smart people like them will not do anything stupid.”
“But Dean doesn’t feel right to me.”
Henry also became serious when he noticed how serious Jasper was. He rubbed his chin and said, “Leave this to me.”
“Oh?” Jasper gave Henry a surprised look.
This look angered Young Master Law.
“What do you mean by that? Do you think I am nothing but a useless second-generation that only knows how to cause trouble?”
“No.” Jasper quickly rejected the thought.
“Don’t worry. I might not be able to do anything else, but I’ve been practicing how to tail and keep an eye on someone ever since I was young. So I won’t fail when it comes to this guy,” Henry said, feeling pleased with himself.
He clapped his hand and got up. He said, “I’m not needed here anyway, so I need to look for something to do. It’s fine if Dean doesn’t do anything, but if he does, I promise I’ll get to the bottom of it for you.”
“Okay,” Jasper grinned and accepted.
“Damn, why do I feel like I’ve fallen into your trap?”
