When everyone heard this along with the recording that Shi Yunsheng had left behind, they instantly came to a realization. The crowd started to look at Shi Nuan and Shen Shixiu differently. When they looked at Shi Jingzheng, they couldn’t help but feel perplexed. Why would Old Master Shi say that in the video? He even requested for Shi Nuan to save Huancheng. What could that mean?
Shi Jingzheng noticed that everyone had gone silent. He was already upset before, but when she saw Shi Nuan and Shen Shixiu, he felt even angrier. With a hard slap to the table, he yelled, “This video isn’t necessarily real just because you guys claim it is. Shi Nuan and Shi Yu have teamed together to plot against the Shi family’s inheritance. I am Shi Yunsheng’s son, why would he not leave any shares for me, and instead allocate them to two strangers? Don’t you guys find this suspicious at all?”
Initially, Shi Jingzheng thought that Shi Nuan would be smart and voluntarily return the shares. Hence, Shi Jingzheng didn’t want to be petty about it. However, from the looks of it, Shi Nuan had no intention of giving it up at all.
Shi Jingzheng could not understand what went on in his father’s mind. Not only that, he had never expected Shi Yunsheng to go out of his way to record a video to prohibit them from taking any of the inheritance.
Shi Nuan was going to be the main shareholder in Huancheng. Thinking of this, Shi Jingzheng simply could not bring himself to accept it.
The few shareholders that were closer to Shi Jingzheng nodded alongside him. “Yes, that’s right. Shi Jingzheng is Shi Yunsheng’s son. Old Master Shi must have gone mad. How could he not give his shares to his own son and granddaughter, and instead pass them on to some strangers?”
“Yes! We all have our doubts about this will. We don’t recognize Su Nuan as our Chairman!”
Shi Nuan narrowed her eyes and smiled as she stared at Shi Jingzheng. She wasn’t that worried considering the fact that Shi Yunsheng had given her the shares himself. After all, she wasn’t breaking any laws, and she trusted Fu Chengyan. Since he asked her to come, that could only mean that he had already prepared for everything.
Shen Shixiu looked at Shi Nuan’s confident expression. Seemingly satisfied with her attitude, he smiled.
Shen Shixiu decided not to speak anymore. He found an empty seat and sat down. With a slight tap on the table, he said, “Nuan, you’re pregnant. Why don’t you take a seat?”
“Yes, Mrs. Fu. Please, sit down. If you wear yourself out too much, I’ll get a big scolding from Mr. Fu when we go home.”
Hearing this, everyone’s attention moved from Shi Nuan and Shen Shixiu toward Zhou Zheng.
Although Zhou Zheng was just an assistant, his name was very hard to miss. Especially because he was someone who was often beside Fu Chengyan. When everyone heard him mention the name “Mr. Fu,” their eyes couldn’t help but light up.
The only person who dared to bear that name in Jiang City was none other than Fu Chengyan himself. Everyone wondered if this man was Fu Chengyan’s assistant Zhou Zheng. Since Zhou Zheng had referred to Shi Nuan as “Mrs. Fu,” didn’t that imply that she was Fu Chengyan’s wife?
Instantly, everyone’s gazes toward Shi Nuan started to become different.
In Jiang City, Fu Chengyan’s name was like a pass that could get you a lot of benefits.
Shi Nuan sat down calmly and nodded. “Zhou Zheng, since Mr. Shi is opposed to the Chairman’s will, I hope you can help clear up any confusion.”
Zhou Zheng nodded and smiled. “Mrs. Fu, you just take it easy. I can handle the rest!”
Then, he raised his head and swept a glance over the crowd. He narrowed his eyes and smiled. “Hello, everyone. Perhaps you might not know me. My name is Zhou Zheng. Today, I’m here as Ms. Su Nuan’s personal assistant. If anyone has any questions, I will answer them all for you.”
These words alone solidified the speculation that everyone had about Shi Nuan.
“Mr. Zhou, does that mean Su Nuan is…”
“Yes, she is the wife of Mr. Fu.” Zhou Zheng smiled faintly. “More accurately, she is the wife of the future head of the Fu clan.”
The audience’s expressions changed drastically. They looked toward Shi Nuan with some doubt, but mostly with admiration and flattery.
After all, she was Fu Chengyan’s wife. Everyone in Jiang City knew who Fu Chengyan was. He was to be the future owner of Shengyuan Group, as well as the head of the Fu clan. If any of them could become friends with Fu Chengyan, their future possibilities would be endless.
Everyone couldn’t help but look toward Shi Jingzheng. Curiously, they wondered what resources he had to back him up since he wanted to go against Shi Nuan.
Even Shi Jingzheng’s friends thought it was weird. First of all, they had always thought that Shi Nuan was an orphan. Then, Shi Nuan had chosen to reveal her identity. What’s more, Shi Yu was also Shen Shixiu. They were all perplexed as to why Shi Jingzheng could mess up the good resources that he had been given.
Everyone wondered if they should continue to side with Shi Jingzheng in this battle against Shi Nuan. Shi Nuan was part of the Su family now. Although there were a lot of Su families in Jiang City, there was only one, in particular, that was considered well respected.

When Shen Shixiu heard all this, he chuckled. It seemed like his work here had already been done for him.
Shi Nuan was smart. She had purposely chosen such timing to reveal her identity and allow the other shareholders to consider it amongst themselves.
Initially, Shen Shixiu was still worried that she would not be able to hold her own against that sly group of people. Now, he could see that he had been worried for nothing.
Meanwhile, Zhou Zheng breathed a sigh of relief as well. He had always known that Shi Nuan had her wits about her. After witnessing it for himself, he felt like she was truly very formidable and domineering.
Zhou Zheng cleared his throat before saying, “I’m sure everyone is curious as to why Old Mr. Shi would pass down Huancheng to Mrs. Fu.”
He was right. This was the question on everyone’s minds.
Logically speaking, no matter her identity, or how much he favored her, Shi Nuan was still someone outside of the family. Why had he allowed her to inherit the company, and not Shi Jingzheng?
Zhou Zheng smirked as he looked around the room. “I think there’s something you all need to see. All this while, I know all of you have played a more hands-off role in the company. Despite being shareholders of Huancheng, you only get together at big meetings like this. What about usual days? Do you know about the day-to-day management of Huancheng? What about the different industries that Huancheng is involved in? Are you aware of the profits and losses of each season?”
Everyone turned solemn when they heard Zhou Zheng’s words. “We have seen the data of course. However, there’s just so much to go through. We get a headache from looking at it. When it comes to this, Zheng is better at it. Hence, we usually just wait for the year-end bonuses. Indeed, we don’t know the company’s ins and outs in detail.”
“Oh?” Zhou Zheng raised an eyebrow. “In that case, let me ask you this. How do you think the company is performing this year?”

As she spoke, she looked over at Shi Nuan. She went over and yelled, “You b*tch! I can’t believe you had the nerve to come. Everyone, this is the woman that basically killed Old Master Shi and took our inheritance for herself. Now, she’s even trying to snatch Huancheng away from us. Never have I met such a vile woman!”
“What did you say?”
Shi Nuan narrowed her eyes and raised an eyebrow. Her expression was filled with disbelief. “Mrs. Shi, I think you should be very careful with your choice of words.”
“Look, Shi Nuan is threatening me. I raised her for years. You ungrateful wench. How could you kill off Old Master Shi just so you could get Huancheng? How horrible!”
Shi Nuan looked over at Jiang Yu coldly. “Mrs. Shi, it’s a shame you never pursued an acting career with your skills. You should consider joining the entertainment industry along with Shi Wei.”
“You…” Jiang Yu’s expression fell drastically, especially when she heard Shi Nuan mention Shi Wei’s name. “You evil woman. You were the one that harmed Wei!” Jiang Yu bared her fangs and stared at Shi Nuan angrily. “Not only did you push Wei to her death, but you also did the same thing to Old Master Shi. Don’t think I don’t know what happened. You’re the one that released all those rumors about Wei. You’re the worst.”
Shi Nuan frowned. “I’m not here to talk about Shi Wei.” Turning her attention back to everyone else, she said, “Isn’t this meeting only open to Huancheng’s shareholders?”
“Yes!”
“Mr. Shi, I don’t think your wife is a shareholder, is she?” Shi Nuan smirked. “Please ask her and her men to leave Huancheng at once.”
“What right do you have? Who do you think you are? Let me tell you. Huancheng belongs to my husband. Zheng, ask security to kick her out right now. What are you guys all standing there for?”
