Chapter 1394 Anders Is Back
I still love him but not as willful or as adamant as I used to be. A thought crossed Joyce’s mind as she watched Shane and his two kids pick up Natalie. Maybe having a man that loves me isn’t all that bad. Maybe I can try dating Justin and try to fall in love with him. Will we be as happy as Nat and Shane?
Joyce rubbed her belly absentmindedly at her thoughts. Meanwhile, Shane drove Natalie to a private hospital. Shane was the investor in the hospital.
He did invest in medical institutions before, but they were all under the name of the Baker family. Jackson was his friend, so he never invested in other medical institutions other than the ones owned by the Baker family.
However, ever since his fallout with Jackson. Shane began to survey other medical institutions. The private hospital they arrived at was one of the medical institutions he invested in after the fallout with the Baker family.
To give his wife and kids the best treatment available, he became the largest shareholder of the private hospital. His youngest son, Anders was inside.
After parking the car at the hospital’s parking lot, Natalie realized something. As soon as she got out of the car, her gaze was glued to the hospital’s sign. After a long while, she finally grabbed Shane’s arm and asked, “Darling, is Anders inside?” Her heart was pounding, and her voice was shaky with nervousness.
Shane muttered, “Yeah.”
Tears began streaming down her face from the overwhelming feelings she felt. “Anders is back!”
“Yes, Anders is back,” Shane parroted.
In actuality, Anders could’ve been transferred earlier but was delayed as Shane and Natalie had to rush to Baycoast for Joyce.
Shane and Natalie didn’t want Anders to return without being able to see his daddy and mommy and with no one to welcome him.
Even though Anders might be oblivious to everything that happened, they as parents couldn’t just ignore it.
That was why Anders’ return was delayed.
Natalie and Shane didn’t discuss how long the delay was.
She didn’t expect Shane to surprise her and arranged for Anders to be sent home.
At that thought, Natalie’s fingers tightened on the procedure paper and turned to Shane with overwhelming agitation. “Darling, when did you…”
Knowing what she wanted to ask, Shane wrapped his arms lightly around her and answered, “Yesterday. I arranged for Anders’ transfer yesterday morning, and he arrived at four in the evening today. Once he arrived, he was immediately brought here. He can’t leave the incubator at the moment.”
“I see.” Natalie nodded.
He arranged for Anders to be sent back yesterday, and Anders arrived today. He hid it well from me.
Catching the look in her eyes, Shane gently wiped away her tears and explained, “I’m sorry. I wanted to give you a surprise.”
“It’s indeed a surprise.” Natalie laughed with tears on her lashes. “Anders coming home is the happiest moment in my entire life. Thank you, Darling.”
She buried her face in his chest and circled her arms tightly around his waist.
Shane returned the embrace and stroked her hair gently, comforting her. “You don’t have to thank me. Anders is also my child. I’m doing what a parent should do.”
Sharon and Connor heard their conversation and understood everything.
Sharon whispered, “Connor, did Daddy and Mommy say Anders is back?”
Connor nodded with a wide smile. “Yes, Anders is back. He’s inside.”
Shane told them he wanted to bring them somewhere to give them and Natalie a surprise when he picked them up from the kickboxing gym.
Connor had guessed it was related to Anders then.
The only thing that can surprise Mommy is Anders.
