Feel the Way You Feel, My Love Chapter 1391

Chapter 1391 Justin Calls

Joyce took a deep breath and bit down on her lip as she said, “Justin, I… I need a little more time to think about it!”

“Ah, I see…” Justin wasn’t surprised by her response in the slightest. In fact, he could tell that she was trying to avoid the question. “All right, then. I’ll let you think about it for another two more days. I hope you’ll consider this really seriously because it would be a great thing for both us and the baby.”

Joyce lowered her gaze and sobbed, “I know that… I just can’t help but feel really bad for you, Justin…”

“You don’t have to feel bad for me, Joyce. I chose this, remember? Right now, all you have to do is think carefully about this. I’ll ask you again two days later. If you still can’t make a decision then, I’ll come see you in J City so we can talk about it in person,” Justin comforted her gently.

Joyce hesitated for a bit, but nodded anyway. “Okay…”

The two of them then chatted for a little while longer before hanging up the phone.

“What happened? Why do I sense this strange tension between you two?” Natalie asked while taking a sip of her water.

Joyce bit down on her lip and flashed her a look of uncertainty. “Nat, do you think I should get together with Justin?”

Natalie froze. “Huh? Why would you ask me this all of a sudden? Was Justin calling to ask you out?”

Joyce nodded. “Yeah, something like that. Justin found out about my pregnancy the day before yesterday. He called me and confessed his feelings to me over the phone. Said I wouldn’t have to worry about the child being fatherless if I got together with him, and that it would prevent people from gossiping about us.”

Natalie rubbed her chin in shock as she asked, “He sounds like a really nice guy and all, but is he really willing to father another man’s child?”

Joyce replied, “Yeah, I can tell that he’s serious about it. He really doesn’t mind me loving another man, nor the fact that I am pregnant with another man’s child. I used to question if he actually meant what he said, but… He kept telling me how much he loves me, and that he would accept everything about me! He also said…”

“What did he say?” Natalie grew curious.

Joyce gave the water in her cup a little swirl as she continued, “He said he’d treat me really well after we start dating, and that I would slowly come to love him instead. He even promised to treat my child as his own so that no one will think he isn’t the biological father.”

“He has a point. You’re still in the early stages of pregnancy, so no one can tell that you’re pregnant just yet. If you two are already together by the time your tummy slowly gets bigger, no one will suspect that he isn’t the biological father of your child,” Natalie mumbled while stroking her chin.

“Exactly, which is why I did feel tempted to accept his confession. It’s like Justin said, us being together will benefit all of us. Not only would he be able to date me, but I could also try to start loving him as well. On top of that, I won’t have to worry about my child growing up fatherless either. I do believe that Justin will become a great father figure, but…”

“Is there something you’re worried about?”

“Yeah, I’m worried that I might never be able to love him no matter how hard I try. If that’s the case, I’d just be using him as a tool to forget about Stanley and to cover up for my premarital pregnancy.”
